I’m James Flatman, an advanced personal trainer, sports nutritionist and owner of Fitness Team Ipswich. 

I’ve gained over 18 years experience working in the fitness industry and qualified as a PT 9 years ago, creating Fitness Team Ipswich to run PT sessions, Boot Camps, Classes and now Online Coaching. 

When I’m not in the gym or in front of a computer screen, you’ll find me out on the road or in a forest somewhere, either on my bike or in my walking boots. I love backpacking, wild camping and bouldering, so as you can imagine, lockdown has had its challenges. 

However, my real passion is working with my clients face to face, which has been tough to deal with during lockdown. Luckily I’ve managed to keep them on track via Zoom. 
I started delivering remote personal training sessions and fitness classes in April 2020. I’d never done anything like this before, so moving to live streaming was exciting but very daunting. I quickly got to grips with Zoom and I’ve never looked back. Having the ability to record my sessions for clients that can’t make the live stream is a life saver.

It wasn’t enough for me to just see my clients once or twice a week. They needed more to keep them going, and I needed to find a way to monitor their lifestyle habits on a daily basis, so with the help of My PT Hub, I developed an online coaching platform, helping my clients reach their goals faster and stay motivated by tracking their progress.

For those that I can’t reach in person, online coaching is a game changer, providing flexibility, affordability, convenience, and accountability, for a fraction of the price of face to face Personal Training. 
Now I’m able to reach more people and help improve their quality of life at the push of a button.
